How I make my delicious Vanilla iced coffee! (Using a Mocha Pot)

Ah iced coffee… It’s my fuel, my motivation to wake up in the morning, and to continue hustling in the afternoon. Sometimes I actually wonder whether I drink too much of it… I mean that amount of coffee and dairy shouldn’t be that good for you, and I find myself sometimes drinking up to three cups of it (I’m telling you, I have a bad addiction to it), but I love it so much.

Sadly, during the summer, I don’t always have the convenience of buying iced coffee. Coffee shops are not near my parent’s house, nor is it popular in Tunisia. This means that I could only make my favorite drink in the world at home. now, I’m lazy by nature, but I ended up finding a very easy way to make it!

You’ll need:

  • brewed coffee
  • any kind of milk you like
  • ice
  • vanilla ice cream (optional)

I first started by making the coffee with something called a mocha pot (I didn’t know what it was called until very recently).

This is a mocha pot. It has three layers: the bottom is for water, the middle part is for coffee, and the upper part is where your coffee will brew.

1) First start by filling the bottom part of the mocha pot with water.

2) Fill up the middle part with coffee.

Fill it up all the way to the top

Try to not fill it to the brim like I did!

3) Once you are done with filling the pot with water and coffee, let it sit in the fire for 10-12 minutes

You know you are done once the coffee comes up and fills the upper pot (here it is still not there yet)

8) Stir everything, and voila! You are done!!

I really love this hack, especially with adding the ice cream! It makes me feel like I drank a cup of iced coffee as good as Starbuck’s, without having to spend money for it. A really good life saver if you have no coffee shops near you or if you are trying to make savings.

Let me know if any of you ended up trying it!

Till’ next time!

Ameni
